In John 15, Jesus gives us one of his 7 "I am" statements found in the book of John with, "I am the Vine." What's unique about this statement is that Jesus also tells us who we are, "the branches." A branch's job is to bear fruit. We all want to bear fruit in life but our definition of fruit and God's definition of fruit is often very different. Because of that, God will often cut off the fruit we like to produce in us the fruit he likes. This Sunday we talked about how to bear fruit that pleases the Father in a message called "From Futile to Fruitful."
